The industries are concentrated in the parts of Southern, Central and in the Northern parts of Kerala. There are various types of industries in Kerala. One of the famous is the silk industry, which are found as a village industries. One of the major weaving areas is 'Kuttaambully'. The industries are found throughout the state of Kerala. Especially the areas of Ernamkullam, Kannanore, Trivandrum etc.. are some of the major industrial regions. Milma:A term known to everyone in Kerala as the milk providers of the state. Milma is a milk proccessing and distributing industry. They collect the milk from more than 1 lac people every day and proccess it to variou forms like curd, butter, cheese. Sweets: One of the major industry is the sweet factories of the major companies.There is a long line of industries along the Palakkad - Coimbatore highway. Its one of the biggest industrial areas in Asia. FACT: Better known as Travancore Fertilizers and Chemicals(LTD) is one of the producers of the fertilizers and chemical in Kerala. Industries: The major ones include ship building near the town of Eranamkullam. The coconut industry is also developed in the part of Eranamkullam. Cotton industries are also found in many parts. The products of coconut are used for making Furnitures and House building. |
